18th-C Shell & Black Glass
A rare embellishment, a black glass disk is held to carved shell by a cup-set paste-headed pin-shank. Close examination of the disk's edge reveals no copper, and the button is much heavier than it would be if the disk was enamel. 18th C. Div. I Size L 1 7/16"
