Art Nouveau Pomone Enamel
The center of this 19th C. Art Nouveau enamel border design is an allegorical portrait entitled “Pomone”, originally designed by the award-winning French sculptor Charles Pillet, a contemporary of Armand Bargas. (Note the word to the left of the head). Pomone was the Roman goddess of fruit trees, gardens and orchards. Medium size 1 3/16".
